Org4Peace International Helpers

Org4Peace International Helpers started as: Organization for P.E.A.C.E.
(Partnership * Education * Action * Care * Empathy)

Org4Peace started in 2009 and was incorporated as a non-profit on March 15, 2011.

Our non-denominational, non-profit organization was founded by three individuals in Canada, Nepal and Thailand.

Since then, we have acquired a few more volunteer members, each of whom is employed full-time outside this organization, and volunteers in his/her extra time for Org4Peace International Helpers.

We are not a large organization but we know through experience, that regular, busy individuals can work to support the development of rural communities in Nepal and provide the education and resources needed to create strong, self-sufficient communities for the future.

Strong, developed and educated communities can resist the false promises of child traffickers whose actions compromise children’s safety and destroy family ties.

Our Basic Philosophy

We work with a number of trusted partners in Nepal who have asked us to help them achieve their goals or expand their programs.

Our philosophy is simply to assist schools, children’s homes and other non-profits with what they need.

We do not impose our will or our “solutions” on them because we know that they are in the best position to know what they need. We do however offer them innovative options and work with them to help them implement them.

Our Operational Model

To ensure that the funds we raise go directly to the causes and people we help, we do not have employees. Instead we work with a number of dedicated volunteers who offer their skills to help us succeed.

Though administrative, maintenance, and operational costs are inevitable, we keep these to a minimum so that your donations go to where they are needed most – the needy in developing countries.

Many donors and volunteers, as well as org4peace directors contribute by paying for printing, shipping, and website costs. Others produce flyers, hold fundraisers on our behalf, write and edit copy, send or pay for parcels filled with supplies, or donate needed items.

Though this model has its challenges, we are able to support many projects without diverting too much to administrative costs.

To maintain this level of operations, we ask others to join us and offer their skills or help us cover the costs of shipping, printing, website fees, and other costs.
