Help Fundraise – Fun Ways to Help

International Helpers from all over the world have found fun and easy ways to help children in Nepal, by fundraising and helping to raise awareness about our cause.

Spread the word online:

Email your friends, family, coworkers and others you know and tell them about Org4Peace International Helpers; our classroom building projects, child sponsorship and community development initiatives. Don’t forget to send them our website (www.org4peace.org) and a link to our Org4Peace Brochure!

Bake Sales, Garage Sales and Juice (Lemonade) Stands
Don’t underestimate the power of a weekend lemonade stand or bake sale. They can raise hundreds of dollars in just one day!
* 4 school aged girls from Vancouver, BC had a bake sale and raised enough money to send one girl in Nepal to school for a year!

Birthday or Holiday donations instead of presents
Have a party and ask friends and relatives to donate money instead of gifts.

Many have sold their crafts, clothing, toys, their music and their skills to raise funds for Org4Peace kids.

Start a Fundraising Club at Your School
Teachers or students can get involved to raise funds through plays, coin drives, car washes, candy cane sales, bake sales, clothing/toy/craft sales, or any idea you can think of to help needy children in Nepal who would love an opportunity to go to school.

Do you own a business or have a special talent?
If you already run a brick and mortar business or sell things online, consider donating a portion of your profits, even from one days sales.
Can you play an instrument, hold a tune, or have any other special talent that can engage others? Consider using your skills to hold a fundraiser with friends and help impoverished or orphaned children in Nepal. Even a small amount can make a difference in a child’s life.

Sponsor a Child
Sponsor a girl or boy for a year of school and change their future.

Support an ongoing project
Consider donating to any of our projects.

In the past we have:

• Built new classrooms to expand our growing school which has taken in more than 200 children who would not otherwise have a chance to go to school, and have focused on getting more girls in school and keeping them there
• Raised money for warm clothing and donated hundreds of pounds of other clothes for needy kids
• Purchased a school vehicle to bring in more kids from far away remote areas
• Supported medical costs for a very sick child and helped a poor shopkeeper whose small shop burned down.
• Supported our “Goat/Chicken/Bull Economic Sustainability for Rural Families project,” which helps lift destitute rural families out of grinding poverty, while admitting their children into our school free of charge, through our educational sponsorship program.

We are now fundraising:
• To get more rural impoverished children into school as early as possible
• Continue to support our “Goat/Chicken/Livestock Economic Sustainability for Rural Families project,” which helps lift destitute rural families out of grinding poverty, while admitting their children into our school free of charge, through our educational sponsorship program.
